i wish i had my own fairy house

how amazing is this house..http://www.simondale.net/house/index.htm.
When i saw this house it reminded me of a little fairy house and being fasinated with angels and fairies i fell in love with it instantly.
I would love a house like this but i think i love my creature comforts to much...central heating etc. I really admire the family who live there, all the hard work and effort they put in to it. I think if it was mine i'd sit outside all day just looking at it it's so beautiful.

new bookmarks

Well i managed to make one of each of the bookmarks yesterday. I usually put a charm on the end but i thought with all the detail on the bookmark itself it would probably be best just to add beads.
The first is a mermaid with blue glass beads.

The second a hummingbird with pink glass beads.

The third a dragon with red glass beads.

And the last is a dolphin with blue glass beads.

It's a wet and VERY windy day here today, hubby took our son to school this morning so i could stay in the warmth. But i had to go out to the post office, which i didn't mind as it was a order from my website. It was actually the shell bracelet which i made yesterday so i'm happy with that.

new pieces

well i didn't get round to making the children's tie backs yesterday, nor did the postman bring the novelty bookmarks. I did however make a few pieces from my other goodies which arrived via the postman. Honestly i think he thinks i'm a shopoholic.
The first is a shell bracelet which i think is quite cute.

Next is this bracelet which when i saw the beads reminded me of those white chocolate drops you used to get when you were a kid. The ones with the hundreds and thousands on the top. So i named it 'candy bracelet' not very imaginative i know but some days i have trouble colliding 2 brain cells. My daughters 18 months but i still blame baby brain!

And last is a necklace i made with the most beautiful pendant i have ever seen. You probably can't pick it up from the picture but it is really lovely. The pendant was called 'ice moon' so that's what i've called the necklace. Again baby brain.

The postman has just been, again with 2 parcels. It's a good job hubby is in work LOL. One of which was the bookmarks so hopefully if i can get the baby to sleep i'll make some up today.

curtain tie backs

Here is a picture of 1 of the set of curtain tie backs i made. I love them,the larger black beads are the gemstone chinese labourdite and the smaller ones are glass. Im going to list these on my website and i'm also going to try and make some pink girly ones and boyish ones too. I want to try and get them done today but i'm also expecting the novelty bookmarks to come in the post, which i also want to get stuck into. Saying that my mum usually comes for a visit on a wednesday before work, which is when the baby usually has her nap so i probably won't get anything done.

as promised

I've uploaded the pictures on the commission order i was given. The lady wanted a sterling silver 18 necklace and a matching bracelet with purple beads.

I've just got back from shopping, it's really cold out to today. I only went to 2 shops then came home.

I'm hoping to make some more novelty bits today, not sure what yet but i'm sure i'll find something. I've also ordered some novelty bookmarks there's a mermaid, a dragon, a humming bird and something else which i can't quite remember at the minute lol. I can't wait for them to come.

fish bracelets

I made these 2 bracelets the other day and i'm really happy with how they turned out. There the same but different colours.

I think they have a oriental feel to them. I also started a cross stitch piece of a oriental lady this morning. It's only a small piece but i'm hoping to make a small cushion with it.

Still not well today but with a hubby and 2 kids to look after i can't stay in bed all day.

taking a break

I decided to take a break from jewellery making last night and get back to my 'forgotten' crafts. So i made some cards...

and did a bit of cross stitching. Back to it today though as the postman delivered the charm i was waiting for so i have now done the order for the 18 bracelet and necklace set.

I'm not feeling to good today, i suffer with tonselitus (i think thats how you spell it lol) quite a lot. The doctor wouldn't take them out when i was younger because i'm allergic to sleeping gas and now they've found a way round that i'm just to old!

The baby isn't well either so early night for us tonight i think.

more earrings!

Well i managed to get the curtain tie back finished last night, hooray so before i give them to hubby i'll take a picture to show you. They look quite good even if i do say so myself. I have also finished the 18 necklace from an order i'm just hoping the postman brings the other charm i'm waiting on to do the bracelet. Again once i've done it i'll post a picture.

I made some more earrings last night, hubby keeps telling me to open a shop i've got that much stock now but i think i'll go along the jewellery party line.

The earrings are sterling silver and have lovely black beads which have a swirl through them. I quite like these ones but if i kept them all i'd get nowhere lol so they are available on my website sob sob http://www.lej-jewellery.co.uk/ sob sob. I also made a few wrap bracelets which are great as they just wrap around your arm, they don't fasten or lose there shape. I made 4 altogether there pink, blue, green and amber. busy, busy, busy

sorry i've not blogged over the last couple of days i've been mad busy. Firstly we had a leek and couldn't find where it was coming from. It ran from the ceiling in the downstairs toilet, down the walls, under the flooring in the hall (which squelched when you stood on it) into the living room, which made the carpet all soggy.

So in the end we found it, it was a washer on the in flow pipe to the toilet in the en suite (which we never use), this was after we'd ripped the tiles up in the normal bathroom, of course.

So next i had to make some beaded curtain tie backs, my husband knows someone from work who's wife has a handmade curtain shop and she's going to put them in there to see if they sell. I'm going to put some on my website too.

Lastly i have been contacted by someone who i did an order for before christmas and she wants me to make a sterling silver bracelet and necklace for her daughters 18th birthday. I'm really pleased she has asked me to do this for her again. I also had to spend the best part of the day trawling the internet for sterling silver 18 charms lol, but it's all fun.

snow, snow, snow

well as you can guess from the title it's snowing here, it doesn't seem to be sticking to the roads so thats good as i've got to go and get my son from school in an hour or so.

I'm a bit disappointed about sunday, i was hoping to get rid of some stock but there is another one on in feb so hopefully that will work out ok.

The earrings in the picture are one's which i'll be listing on my website very soon, they are silver plated with garnet beads. I quite like them and might make myself a pair!

sale cancelled

just to let anyone who was thinking of turning up tomorrow that the boot sale has been cancelled as they didn't have enough tables.

shopping today

I'm going into liverpool today to do some (window) shopping. Hubby loves going the chinese there and it's my nearest paper mill shop so hopefully i can get some card making bits while i'm there.

I'm not going to be able to blog tomorrow as i'm at the car boot sale selling my jewellery. Feel free if your in the area to pop in. It's at the nova centre in prestatyn, north wales. It's going to be a long day as it takes an hour and 40 minutes to get there then the same back. My mum is taking the kids to blackpool for the day so it's not to bad, we usually say in our caravan down there when it's on but it's shut down for the season.

i have found the cutest little piggy i have ever seen, my daughter loves animals and pigs are one of her favourites. I saw this on folksy, where i also have a shop BTW, i'm going to get it for her for her birthday in july. i hate housework

well doesn't everyone? it's no use trying to tidy while the kids are around because no sooner have you put the toys in the toybox than there out again.

I made these earrings yesterday while the baby was napping, yes i could of been doing the housework but i'd rather be making jewellery lol.

i'm not going to be putting anything on my website now until monday just incase i sell it on sunday at the car boot. It has happened before where i sold it at a fair and then when i got home i'd sold it on one of my shops to. luckily it was something which i had the materials to make again.

love bug

I made this bracelet yesterday, i have named it 'i love my love bug'. i love making bracelets which there is a 99% chance that no one else will have one. It features 4 tibetan silver 'love bug' charms with red mother of pearl hearts. It would be ideal for anyone with a love for vw beetles. valentines

well i know christmas has only just been but i've decided to stock up on my valentines jewellery. I already have a few things like a bracelet and a couple of pairs of heart earrings but i made these last night. The first is a gold plated charm bracelet with red glass hearts and maroon glass pearls and the second is a gold plated cluster ring with maroon glass pearls and gold dust plated beads. I think the red and gold compliment each other greatly on these two pieces.

I've also been looking around for more places to showcase my jewellery, i wenr to botany bay on sunday but they wanted £22 a week for a display which seems a bit much to me. I don't think i would sell enough to cover it aswell as my other costs. Oh well back to the drawing board.

I also have a indoor car boot i go to so i'll be there on sunday, fingers crossed it goes ok.

marble arch

Here is a picture of one of the things i made yesterday, it's made with the semi precious gemstone grey marble and also features swarovski crystals and has a sterling silver toggle to fasten it with. I also made a bracelet using coco jasper and earrings using garnet. I think my mother in law will be getting the earrings for her birthday next week as garnet is januarys birthstone.

well as it's saturday got a busy day with the kids, not sure what were doing yet probably going into southport to have a walk around. take care jo x

it's a novelty

I have decided to put most of my time into making novelty jewellery as it seems to be what everyone loves. After some tips from a lovely lady called zoe i made some earrings with cows and sheep. lucky charms

Here is another charm bracelet i have made, i love making these. This one features a small locket to put photographs in. It has cream glass pearls but can be made with any colour beads.

I'm not sure if i'm going to get anything done today as i'm feeling really tired. My daughter is still getting up 2 - 3 times a night and sometimes doesn't go back to sleep for an hour so needless to say i look like something out of dawn of the dead. lol

new beads

I bought some new beads the other day, i love them there great. Just got to figure out what to do with them, my first thought was earrings but i'm unsure now. I think i better put my thinking cap on.

busy day today

My son started back at school today so up early to get him ready, although my daughter doesn't know what a sleep in is.

I went to the hair dresses and had over half my hair cut off but it looks miles better and much easier to manage of a morning now while i'm chasing the kids around trying to get them ready for the day ahead lol.

So it's only 2 0 clock and on top of everything else i've even managed to clean the house, i must be wonder woman.

The piccy is one of the pairs of earrings which i made last night whilst watching eastenders. I love fairies and keep finding myself making fairy things. They are tibetan silver fairy charms with pale pink glass pearls and silver plated hooks. I haven't listed them on my website yet as one of the kids have done a runner with my tape measure so i can't measure the drop lol.

my latest bracelet

I thought i'd start to upload some of my jewellery now. This one is a bracelet which i made for valentines day. I'm tempted to keep it for myself i like it that much. It's made from handmade lampwork heart shaped beads with sterling silver beads. I hope you like it as much as i do.
